Cable Fault Locating pipes (CFL pipes)
- Designed specially for power cable laying (voltages 1 kV and above)
- Made of special multi-layer polymer composition
- Certified for long-term temperatures up to 110 C that are normal for cables with XLPE-insulation or EPR-insulation
- Non-flammable in case of cable short circuit
- Non-interfering to cable outer sheath 10 kV DC periondic testing and exact outer sheath fault locating
- Provide easy cable installation and replacement
- Provide cable protection against mechanical damages and aggressive environment
- Could be installed both in trenches or by horizontal directional drilling (HDD)
- Can be of diameters from 50 mm to 630 mm
- Can be of annular stiffness number SN from 4 kN/m2 up to 256 kN/m2
- Delivered as straight segments (up to 13 m) or coils (up to 200 m)
- Approved for hermetic connection with butt welding or thermo-couplers
- Could be supplied with accessories (couplers, caps, funnels, seals)
- Could be covered with UV-protection
- Allowed long-term operation (at least 50 yrs lifetime)
